a cappella
I'm tired of all the villians
Tired of all the killins
Tired of the men who make the laws
And break them any time they please
I'm tired of all the big lies
Where are all the good guys?
Sometimes I think I feel the way
That Noah did when the Lord commanded...
Build an ark.
Straight up old school.
I'm listening to the online radio station Totally Acappella while I work.

Man. It evokes the same kind of feelings as looking through an old high school annual or going to a family reunion. I've heard everything from AVB to Zoe; From Watershed to the Gaither Vocal Band; From random really bad praise teams across the country to olden timey congregational SATB music. I even heard some congregational singing led by Ray Walker of the Jordanaires.
I'm a big fan of Casting Crowns, Chris Rice, Aaron Schust, and many other instrumental contemporaries, but a cappella music will always possess a special place in my heart.

I like all kinds of music and usually the bigger the better, however there is something about
a cappella that is special. When done correctly and by those who bring a passion to it, there is nothing better. I get goose bumps more from a cappella than any other. It touches my soul.
Having not grown up with a cappella music I have learned to love it, after the transition of being able to hide my own voice in the instruments. The only time I ever heard a cappella singing was when things were supposed to be really "dramatic", and you were supposed to get all goosebumpy.
I'm thankful now that I can sing to my LORD without a soundtrack.
I wonder what a capella singing would sound like in Hebrew?
Nothing like the harmonious hocking of loogies. :-)
yeah its like a little rain shower.
Dixie and I had some Hebrew choral singing at our wedding actually. Erev Shel Shonanim (Evening of Roses). It's a great tune.
You do know I was kidding. The scripture reading last Sunday was very powerful.
I totally know what you mean about the music. It immediately takes me back to the happiest days around the camp fire at camp with people I love and the presence of God so strong you could touch it!
