Phew....
What a whirlwind these last couple of weeks have been. I know I’ve neglected my blog, so I hope I haven’t lost all (ok, both) of my readers.
First things first: the Zoe Worship Conference was Oct 6-9. It was just awesome. NSCOC sent a contingent of about 10 people to the conference and we were all incredibly uplifted and encouraged. It always does a soul good to be in the presence of 1200 other Christians, praising God together. Ironically, the focus of this conference was that sometimes we get too comfortable being in each other’s presence and, as the incarnation of Christ, we really should be getting out into the world more, so that we minister to those around us that don’t know Christ. I’ll post more about that later.
An extra bonus to the conference was that it was in Nashville, which is where my sister and her family just moved to. Sam and I stayed with the Crislers, and it was great to visit with Brad and Dawn and their sweet girls.
All in all, the weekend was challenging, uplifting, fun, challenging, tiring, encouraging, and challenging.
I got home late Sunday night, and didn’t have much time to recover. The NSCOC family retreat was the very next weekend and it was a praise and worship retreat that I was leading. I spent just about every waking moment (and some sleeping moments) that week getting ready for the weekend. Once I got up to HEB camp, I was able to relax a little bit and enjoy the time with family. I’ve gotten mostly positive feedback about the retreat, which means the Lord was praised. Success!
The added bonus for the retreat was that my parents came down for the retreat and then came back to San Antonio for a few days. It was really good to see them again. They are about to move from Springfield, MO to Nashville, TN. I think they are somewhat sad about the move because they will be moving away from their parents, but at the same time they are excited to be close to B&D and the girls. Also, hopefully my Dad’s new job will be a blessing. I am praying that this move will go smoothly and that they will find peace after they are settled.
My parents left yesterday morning to go back to MO, so now it is just the 5 of us again, with no major events on the horizon to gear up for. It feels like we’ve been going about 90 mph the last 3 weeks straight, so it will be nice to take a breath. Of course, there’s always something else that I need to be getting ready for. One major thing I need to get working on is looking for a job. It seems I’ve been so busy, I haven’t even had much time to job hunt. Blogging has certainly taken a back seat. But I figured I catch you up on my blog (somewhat) during lunch today.
I definitely have much more to say about the Zoe conference and where my future might lead us, but I’ll write more later.

The retreat was great and I've heard nothing but good things about it, too.
If you're interested in another retreat, I'm heading up to Wimberley this Saturday with some middle schoolers...we'll be back Sunday...

I wondered why you did not answer my question in the comment section of your last blog post, now I know! You thought my husband was an insurance salesman and I was trying to recruit you, still makes me laugh almost a week later. Hope you get a chance to catch your breath and relax this weekend, although with three little ones I would not bet the farm on it! Have a great weekend anyway! I really enjoyed the retreat and thought you did a good job!
Man that does sound like fun, but we have LIFE group at my house this weekend and I have praise team responsibilities Sun morn. Maybe next time...

Don't forget about the baby dedication this weekend. I just replaced the picture of Ethan from last year with Jaylie. I will keep it in there for the next year and baby #4?! Keep me posted, I won't delete your spot in the order of worship on baby dedication Sunday, 2006...
...that reminds me...I still need to make an appointment with Dr. Martin....

NO!! The sweet Livingston babies must go on...and on...and on...You can't stop now. I wish we could have one more, just to make life at Fiesta Texas a little easier. You know, the uneven seat thing. Who is going to ride single?! It is so much trouble.
